Preparing Yourself for Ramadan

Preparing Yourself for Ramadan

By  Magda Azzam

In the eye of Allah, fasting enjoys a grace unparalleled by other acts of piety and worship.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah said, ‘All the deeds of Adam’s sons (human beings) are for them, except fasting, which is for Me, and I will give the reward for it.’” (Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Now is the time to wean yourself away from coffee

Some may say it’s too early to speak of Ramadan, but actually it is not. You have to prepare yourself, especially if you’re a new Muslim.

If this is your first Ramadan you will appreciate what I am going to say. Everyone has his or her little weaknesses, whether it is the morning cups of coffee that help you to open your eyes, or your cigarettes (which you shouldn’t be smoking). In either case, if your system depends on them, you have to go through a weaning period before Ramadan by trying to decrease your intake of caffeine or nicotine; otherwise the first days of Ramadan will be tough. In the case of nicotine, wean yourself now and determine to give them up completely and forever in Ramadan.

Why Muslim And Christian Scholars Come Together

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon all His Messengers.

Along the course of human life, there are milestones that serve as important turning points. Such milestones should be best utilized and they should not pass unnoticed.

I think, and Allah knows best, that we are currently witnessing a critical stage, especially after the attacks on the United States on that bloody Tuesday and its serious repercussions.

I can safely say that our personal credibility as believers and religious leaders is also at a crossroads. The value of our very existence and the fruits garnered by our efforts are undoubtedly put to an even harder test than ever before.

The whole world is looking forward to see to what extent the force of our moral example is effective. Indeed, we are in a situation of 'to be or not to be'.

Either we carry out an active role that might reshape the current events towards the right course in a way that best suits our creeds or we will sink into oblivion for good.

The whole world, on the one hand, awaits our great expectations. We should rise to the situation that goes in harmony with the high hopes of millions of believers who are anxious to find out how far religion has an impact on daily life.

Undoubtedly, when our role is restricted to mere decoration we will no longer be effective.

We would like to stress the fact that we [Muslims] welcome any approach that might bring Muslim scholars and Christian bishops to common grounds to co-operate in order to find suitable solutions to contingent or chronic problems that are directly related to the Muslim-Christian world.

Pain when Slain

 Pain When Slain

Driving me insane, Only Allah knows my pain my heart beats But only tears fall & yet I stand tall. Fighting to, never break & fall

 O Allah

  O Allah

I cry to you, make me one of those who is patient. You are the seer of all things & only you know my pain, & the pain of others.  My Brothers  & of cause my sisters. Only Allah knows my pain, my heart beats. But only tears fall & yet I stand tall.

O Allah I cry to you & seek refuge in you from the accursed shaytan the reject.

I cry over something I’ve lost, but when I never had it what was I then, The same.

Do not despair in the mercy of the Allah for verily after every hardship there is relief. With Great Happiness Come’s Great Pain. Only, If only we could see mercy in the rain.

Still we stay real Even though it makes us pale Just like the taste of Ginger Ale.  Now the pains faded I just feel lonely & alone. How I forget, Allah is closer to me then my Jugular vain. He Protects me wive  angels.  Nothing to fear for Allah is near. Why you so down, stop being sad brova, every1’s gota go some day

Alhamdulilah Every fings Fine.
