A Japanese proverb says “Dust, when accumulated, becomes a mountain”, meaning When you do small actions over long period of time, They can have enormous impact in you. Da’wah is life long processes, as long as you are alive, You are doing Da’wah whether you want to do it or not. Micro Da’wah means the effort to do small things such as helping out someone, taking small trash from the street or even smiling and greeting your neighbors. These small actions can slowly put curiosity in the heart of others to find out what made you the person you are and how can they adopt that life style.
This was done by our beloved Prophet Mohamed (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) in many occasions in his life. One of the prominent and well known story is when he helped the old lady and carried her belongings all the way to her house, because of his amazing personality, she embraced Islam wholeheartedly. In this story, The prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) demonstrated the power of action done without even mentioning Islam.
I encourage everyone to do small favors for others, especially your neighbors, classmates, professors and co-workers. Everything you do as Muslim will eventually reflect on how someone sees the religion of Islam.
